After Timothee Chalamet, a Harry Styles look-alike contest delights internet

After the smashing and internet-breaking success of actor Timothee Chalamet’s look-alike contest, a similar contest was held recently in London’s Soho square. This time around, people turned up dressed as music icon Harry Styles. However, unlike Chalamet, Styles did not crash the competition.
But this did not dampen the contestants’ spirits, who were more than eager to showcase their flair for music and fashion, just like the British singing sensation.
The look-alike prize was taken home by the 22-year-old Oscar Journeaux, a singer and guitar player of the rock band Parlay. Oscar hails from West London. Winning the £50 was a bigger deal than you would imagine as a total of 500 contestants had participated in it.
There was also a prize for the ‘worst Harry’, which was won by a man who was holding a kilo of sugar and a watermelon, a not-so-subtle reference to Styles’ chart-topping song Watermelon Sugar.
Harry Styles became a household name after he was picked by judge Simon Cowell post his participation in X-Factor. He then went on to become a member of the four-member boy band, One Direction.
Styles charted his solo career from 2016, and has since gone on to become one of the most popular music icons of modern times, thanks to his ageless music as well as his unique fashion sense.
